How to Find Your NZeTA Reference Number

Your NZeTA reference number was emailed to you immediately after submitting your application. Check your inbox — and your spam or junk folder — for a confirmation email from nzetaonlinevisa.com. The reference number is a unique code that identifies your application and is required to check your status.

Understanding Your NZeTA Application Status

  • Pending: Your application has been received and is currently being reviewed. Please allow the full processing time for your selected plan before checking again.
  • Approved: Your NZeTA has been granted and is electronically linked to your passport. A copy will be sent to your registered email address.
  • Rejected: Your application was not approved. You may apply for a New Zealand visitor visa through Immigration New Zealand.

Processing times depend on your selected plan: Regular processing takes 48–72 hours, Emergency processing takes 24–48 hours, and Express processing takes 12–24 hours. Processing begins from the time of payment confirmation.
An Approved status means your NZeTA has been granted and is electronically linked to your passport. You will receive your approved NZeTA by email and are authorised to travel to New Zealand for the permitted period.
A Pending status means your application is still being processed. Please allow the full processing time for your selected plan. If the processing window has passed and your status is still Pending, please contact our support team for assistance.
